In 1980, Spot books broke new ground by using an innovative "lift-the-flap" format. Spot books are read by
children in at least 100 countries in over 65 languages. They are one of the best selling children's series
of all time. Over 50 million copies of Spot books have been sold since 1980 - over 15 million in the U.S. alone.
There are over 100 Spot titles in print. The first Spot book, "Where's Spot?" has sold over 4 million copies.
Currently, 290 minutes of Spot animation exists, with more is in development. Spot videos continue to be
strong sellers through Disney's Buena Vista Home Video division, with 2 million sold in the last 3 years.
